Daniel Webster College

Services Offered by Career Resources

Both current students and alumni of Daniel Webster College are able to utilize the services listed below.

Individual Consultations

Individual career consultations help students clarify their educational and occupational goals by identifying interests, skills and values. Consultations may also focus on job search techniques and methods for researching employers. Appointments may be made by current students and alumni by calling (603) 577-6584 or emailing CareerResources@dwc.edu. Alumni who are distant from the College may use the same number to make arrangements for telephone consultations.

Job Search Resources

The office maintains a series handouts on topics such as resume writing and interview skills. We also have complimentary copies of the NACE JobChoices magazine. Information about employers where students have interned is kept on file in the director's office and students may request access to these materials. The Anne Bridge Baddour Library has a large collection of career development materials that students may borrow.

As of fall 2005, we also have a new career management and job posting web site, www.DWCareers.com. If you have not yet registered to use the site, please take a few minutes to do so.

* A binder is kept in Career Resources with child care and general household assistance positions that are submitted by individual families who reside in the greater Nashua area.

Resume and Interview Assistance

Career Resources helps students and graduates present themselves professionally to employers in writing and in person. We will assist you in editing drafts of your resume and in responding to difficult questions that could be posed by an interviewer. We can also arrange for a mock interview.

Workshops and Events

A broad variety of career development workshops are hosted by Career Resources throughout the academic year. Topics vary from year to year, and address issues such as resume writing, interview preparation, job search strategies, and professional etiquette. In addition, Career Resources holds events such as DWCareer Day and Groundhog Job Shadowing Day on an annual basis.

A special service for Alumni (and soon-to-be alumni)

The Alumni Forum is a private web site that allows DWC alumni to connect and network with other DWC alumni regarding careers, job openings, and other news pertinent to their specific industries. Graduates may join the Alumni Forum six-months prior to completion of their degree.
