Education Benefits and Financial Aid
You enjoy many benefits associated with the U.S. Military including help in
financing your education. It is up to you to take full advantage of those
benefits. Here is some help getting you started.
Financial Assistance
The DOD
currently allows $4,500 per year in Tuition Assistance for active duty service
personnel, although the amount may vary depending on the service branch.

Veterans Education Benefits
Daniel
Webster College is approved for veterans educational benefits. The Registrar's
Office certifies enrollment dates and courses taken. You need to supply
either VA-form 22-1990 (Application for VA Educational Benefits) or VA-form
22-5495 (Request for Change of Program or Place of Training, and a copy of your
DD214 Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty. The college
can supply both forms to you. The Veterans Administration phone number is

www.gibill.va.gov. Following is a
listing of the major programs:
The
Montgomery GI Bill - Active Duty (MGIB)
provides up to 36 months of education benefits for eligible veterans.
If you
have served two years of active duty you may be eligible for additional
assistance under the
Top-Up Program, an amendment to the above Montgomery GI Bill.
The
Montgomery GI Bill - Selected Reserve (MGIB-SR)
also provides up to 36 months of education benefits.
The
Veterans Education Assistance Program (VEAP)
is available to you if you participated in the program.
The
Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance Program (DEA)
provides up to 45 months of education benefits for those who qualify.
The
Vocational Rehabilitation Program for Disabled Veterans may cover tuition, fees
and books for qualifying courses. The payment comes directly to the
college, and the student may qualify for a monthly stipend depending on the
training status. To qualify you must meet with a Vocational Rehabilitation
Specialist from the VA prior to enrolling. For more information on the
