Wireless networking installed at Nashua Campus

 

DWC has installed wireless networking in the Baddour Library, Eaton Richmond Center and Common Thread. Wireless access is also available on the deck of the Common Thread and in the common area between Gates Hall and the Thread.

 

In order to access the wireless network your computer must be registered with ITS.

 

Procedure to Register my Laptop

You must bring your laptop to the help desk in the Eaton-Richmond Center. The Help Desk Assistant will check the system for the latest Microsoft Windows patches and antivirus software. He/She will also record the MAC address in the college database.

What do I Need to access the wireless network?

You will need a wireless network card that supports 802.11g and you will also need to register your wireless card with the Help Desk in the Eaton Richmond Center.

Will an 802.11b card work?

802.11b is supported on the DWC wireless network.

 

How do I configure WEP for my wireless card?

The DWC wireless network does not use WEP but your connection can be secured installing a secure certificate on your portable PC. Instructions to configure this can be found at the Help Desk or at
