SCOPE: An estimated 34% of Americans have tried a non- traditional approach to treating a medical problem. Alternative medicine includes homeopathy, herbal therapy, spiritual healing, and acupuncture. Dismissed by some as sheer quackery, others consider in a more natural, less controversial, approach to treating medical problems. The purpose of this pathfinder is to serve as a guideline for students in locating library resources available on the topic of alternative medicine. It is not intended as a comprehensive listing of all materials available, but as a selective sampling of the types of materials available in the library.
