Pathfinder: Antisocial Personality Disorder

SCOPE:  Antisocial personality disorder is characterized the presence of a chronic and persuasive disposition to disregard and violate the rights of others. ( Corsini, Encyclopedia of Psychology)  Previously referred to as psychopathy, and sociopathy, this disorder is one of the most harmful and destructive of the mental disorders. Individuals are impulsive, rageful, and immoral and are incapable of feelings of remorse or empathy. Their actions are criminal and abusive. The purpose of this pathfinder is to serve as a guideline for students in locating library resources that will provide an in-depth analysis of this topic.
