Pathfinder: Anxiety Disorders

SCOPE:  Anxiety is defined as an emotion characterized by heightened activity of the nervous system, such as increased heart rate, blood pressure, respiration, and is accompanied by feelings of panic, worry, and tension. (Corsini, Encyclopedia of Psychology) Often these feelings produce changes in normal behavior and hinder everyday living. This pathfinder will focus on specific resources that will provide an in-depth analysis of the subject of anxiety and will serve as a guideline for student research.
