Blackboard :: Grades
The following handout provides students an overview of Blackboards Check Grades tool
How will I know what my grades are? Your instructor will input your grades into Blackboards Grade Book. Once this is done you will able to access your grades.
Will I be able to tell how I did compared to my classmates?
Yes, Blackboard filters the data into the following categories:
Your grade
The total points possible
The class average
Grade weighting
Grades are private between you and the instructor and cannot be viewed by any outsiders including your classmates.

View Grades shows a grid of information including assignments and grades. |

*Note Instructors may also set up online tests/quizzes. You will typically receive notification of a quiz on your Blackboard main page. Quizzes can have many formats - multiple choice, True/False, essay, etc |

*Note: Blackboard allows your instructors to monitor your access to course content and communication areas. Instructors have the ability to view total number of hits as well as usage statistics for each item. These statistics are often factored into your final grade. Please confer with your instructor about grading criteria. |
