Blackboard :: Logon Instructions for Students

Logon Procedure

In order to enter the Blackboard environment, you must have access to the Internet.

From your Internet Browser enter the URL: http://blackboard.dwc.edu

Next, press Enter on your keyboard and the following screen will appear

Click on the Login button in the upper left hand corner of the screen. A username and password screen appears.

Be sure to read this section carefully!
Are you new to DWC?
Your User Name is your last name, an underscore, followed by your first name. Use all  lowercase. For example, smith_jane

If you have a DWC email or SOAR account then use that User Name.

The Initial *Password is your Daniel Webster College identification number (See the table at the bottom of this handout for more information about passwords and how to change them).

After you have entered a valid User Name and Password and clicked the Login button, a new screen will appear as follows

The courses that you are enrolled in will be listed under the My Course palette. Click on the hyperlink to access the course homepage. This page varies from instructor to instructor. Contact your instructor if you have questions regarding course navigation.

To navigate back to the Daniel Webster College homepage click on the Daniel Webster College icon or to leave the Blackboard environment click on the Logout icon.  Its important to logout of Blackboard when on a public computer. This ensures that no one can access your course documents or see your grades or other private information.
