SCOPE: Robert Bly has been a controversial poet since the mid 1960’s. Bly studied psychology, myth, fairy tales, and philosophy, and his works reflect these varied interests. During the 1960’s Bly formed an anti-Vietnam group called American writers against the Vietnam War.
