Scope: Marcel Duchamp was a French artist born in Blainville, Normandy in 1887. He had an avid interest in optics and cinematic techniques. His “ready-mades” were found objects that were elevated to the status of art. Duchamp was considered the pioneer of conception art as well as one of the greatest innovators of art in the 20th century.
The purpose of this pathfinder is to serve as a guideline for student research. It is not intended as a comprehensive listing of all the resources available in the library on this topic, but as a selective sampling of the many types of resources available.
