Scope|Subject Headings|Overview Sources|Circulating Books|Periodicals, Journals & Trade Publications
SCOPE: Violence, poverty, and mental illness are the main factors that contribute to homelessness in America. It is estimated that over 60% of homeless persons engage in criminal acts as a matter of survival. Shelters and affordable housing have been established to alleviate some of the problems. The purpose of this pathfinder is to serve as a guideline for the student in locating library resources on the topic of homelessness. It is not intended as a comprehensive listing, but as a selective sampling of some of the many types of materials available in the library.
