Pathfinder: Impulse Control Disorders

Scope:  Impulse control disorders are a class of disorders marked by a failure to resist an impulse or temptation to engage in some act that ultimately proves harmful to oneself. ( The Penguin Dictionary of Psychology) Gambling, kleptomania, explosive disorders,and  pyromania, are some examples of this type of disorder.  The purpose of this pathfinder is to serve as a guideline for students in locating library resources that will provide an in-depth analysis of this topic.
