  1. Who is the Director of Library Services?
    The Library Director position has been vacant since July 2006.
  2. What types of resources does the library have?
    DWC's library has videos, DVDs, CDs, books, magazines and journals, government publications, audiovisual equipment, computer workstations, a multimedia lab, and online research resources.
  3. Can I use the Library's online resources from off-campus?
    Yes. Our on-line resources are available 24 hours a day from any location via our web page. We also offer 24-hour reference question and answer help by email.
  4. How can a librarian help me?
    Our librarians are trained research professionals who can find information on any topic. Just ask!
  5. Does the library have special resources for my major?
    Yes. We have specialized resources to meet the needs of students in all the academic fields at DWC.
  6. What if the library doesn't own something I need?
    We can borrow materials you request through lending agreements with other libraries throughout the state and nation.
  7. Can't I get all my information from the web?
    The web is a great resource, but it's only one of many you'll use for academic research. We'll teach you advanced web-searching skills, as well as introduce you to specialized information resources for your field.
  8. What is the multimedia lab?
    The multimedia lab is equipped for video and image editing, scanning, web page creation, and more, utilizing a variety of software. Stop by to see what else the lab has to offer.
  9. Will someone show me how to use this equipment?
    Yes. An educational technology specialist is available to help you plan and produce multimedia presentations for class projects.
  10. Can I work for the library?
    Yes. The library has work-study positions available every semester. No experience necessary!
  11. What else is cool about the library?
    The library has a collection of popular movies you may borrow.
