SCOPE: Politics and political science may be described as a science of democracy. (Bessette, Encyclopedia of American Government) Politics has become an issue of increasing importance during the course of the 20th century. Individual voting practices, the presidency, the role of the government in shaping society are all aspects, which concern Americans. The purpose of this pathfinder is to serve as a guideline for student research. It is not intended as a comprehensive listing of all the materials available in the library on this topic, but as a selective sampling of the many types of resources available.
