SCOPE: Rainer Maria Rilke was
one of the most important figures in German literature
and is the author of many volumes of poetry. His works
focused on the themes of life, death, spirituality,
philosophy and materiality. In addition to his writing
abilities, he translated literary works from English,
Russian, French, and Danish into German.(Diamond,
