SCOPE: Schizophrenia may be considered to be the most severe of the emotional disorders. Individuals who suffer from this disorder experience hallucinations, delusions, incoherent speech and thinking as well as bizarre behavior. (Nevid, Abnormal Psychology in a Changing World) They experience difficulty engaging in conversation with others, holding a job, and forming friendships. Even the simple tasks of grooming and personal hygiene are often beyond their abilities.
