SCOPE: Shift work is classified as work performed between the hours of 11P.M. and 7 A.M. Normal sleep patterns are disrupted and the duration of sleep is usually between one to four hours. Sleepiness and insomnia occur throughout the following day. As a result mental alertness is affected as well as physical well-being.
The purpose of this pathfinder is to serve as a guideline for student research. It is not intended as a comprehensive listing of all the resources available in the library, but as a selective sampling of the many types of resources available.
