Scope: Jan Vermeer’s portfolio only numbers around forty paintings, but his contribution to the art world is still noteworthy. He is known for his small interior scenes of one or two figures engaging in ordinary everyday tasks. His use of yellows and blues created a harmony and balance in the serenity of the scenes he portrayed.

The purpose of this pathfinder is to serve as a guide for student research. It is not intended as a comprehensive listing, but as a selective sampling of the many types of resources available in the library.

There are sources located in the Reference Section of the Baddour Library that give a general overview or summary of the topic you are researching. The following is a list of some of the sources available in the library.
