SCOPE: When the Japanese attacked the American naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on December 7, 1941, a four-year battle had begun. President Harry Truman declared war on August 6, 1945 when an atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The purpose of this pathfinder is to serve as a guideline for the student in locating library resources that will provide an in-depth analysis of this topic.
