Scope: W.B. Yeats was born in
Dublin, Ireland June 13, 1865. He published all genres
of literature except the novel. Yeats was considered the
major English-speaking poet of the modern era
(1890-1950) Yeats was the co-founder of the Irish
National Theater. He was a true scholar in that his
writing contained numerous references to symbolism, and
allusions to mythology and religion.
