ACE Camp - a day in the life of a camper Get Ready to Fly The
college's aviation facilities are located at the Tamposi
Aviation Center at the Nashua Municipal Airport, just a
five minute walk from the residence halls on the main
campus where you will be living. The Aviation Center houses a flight operations center, classrooms, and separate flight and air traffic control simulation laboratories. The
college's fleet of 31 aircraft includes Cessna 172s and
Piper Arrows, Seminoles, and GROB G-109B motor gliders.
Campers primarily fly in the Cessna 172s.
Your days will be filled with... Activities that are non-stop!
You'll have five days of fun and excitement, with activities such as:
- Flight time at the controls of our aircraft, under the close supervision of one of our professional flight instructors.
Our goal is to provide each student with as many as
three flights - weather permitting.
- "Flying" our advanced flight simulators.
- Numerous opportunities to experience valuable leadership and teamwork sessions and activities that will help you better understand the skills
you'll need for a successful aviation career.
- Exposure to all of the career opportunities that are
available in the aviation industry, including air
traffic control, airport management, airline operations,
etc.
- Discussions with numerous pilots with a variety of aviation backgrounds, both military and commercial (major airlines, commuter airlines, corporate pilots, instructors, etc.).
- Visits to area airports, including military and commercial facilities, a heliport, control towers, and other aviation facilities.
- Special guest speakers. At past ACE Camps, speakers have
included FAA security, the chief of maintenance from
United Airlines, the Operations Manager from Southwest
Airlines, meteorologists, and more!

Movies, volleyball, pick-up basketball, creative
drill, and swimming, plus an awards ceremony and
picnic for parents and students on the last day of
camp.
