Aviation Programs
The Aviation
Division of the College offers bachelor and associate degree programs
designed to provide the knowledge and skills important to a career as an
aviation professional.
To provide a
broad base of academic skills and intellectual capacity, all programs
include a general foundation of arts and humanities, behavioral and social
sciences, the natural sciences, mathematics, computer science, and effective
communication. Further, the Aviation Management program includes a business
management foundation that equips the student with basic business and
management skills in fields such as finance, accounting, economics,
marketing, and personnel management.
To
complete the student's preparation, each program provides a sequence of
management or professional courses in aviation selected to equip him or her
to assume a leadership position in the aviation industry, including
opportunities in air transportation, airports and facilities, fixed-base
operations, air traffic control, or flight operations as a professional
pilot. |
