The Sport Management program can help students prepare for entry-level positions in the sport industry. Students are taught the basic theory of sport management:
This major includes an experiential learning component, which provides students with an opportunity to gain experience in the industry, which may include working at and organizing sporting events, promotions, media relations, and working with professional, amateur, and club organizations. These experiential learning opportunities are available to students starting in their first semester, and continue throughout the program into the final semester. Students also take part in a required internship, based on availability. Internships are developed, maintained, and supervised by Sport Management faculty.
