The Bachelor of Science in Social Science is a multidisciplinary degree, offering you the career-related skills needed to enter the workforce in a productive, responsible position, combined with the intellectual and communications skills you'll need to advance steadily in your career.

The core of the program requires the completion of 45 credit hours in the Social and Behavioral Sciences. Beginning with Introduction to the Social Sciences, you'll move on to... 

Historical Studies: America in the 20th Century, or The World in the 20th Century

Foundation Courses, chosen from the following disciplines:  Sociology, Political Science, or Economics

Experiential and Community Learning, including creation of a Community Service Portfolio, recording the off-campus service activities you engage in throughout your DWC academic career

Computational and Research Skills

Advanced Disciplinary & Interdisciplinary Courses, selected from at least two of the following: History, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology and Social Sciences

Senior Seminar in the Social Sciences your capstone experience!

    Interwoven with these courses will be courses you select from other degree programs, as your particular concentration, plus off-campus learning opportunities, including the possibility of exchange with another American college, or study abroad.
