Students who present an admission score of three or higher on a College Board Advanced Placement Assessment will be granted DWC course credit. Students may also earn course credit through the College Level Examination Program (CLEP). Credit will be awarded upon receipt of an official transcript from the College Board or CLEP. A schedule of acceptable scores and equivalencies is available in the Office of the Registrar and the Office of Admission.
Credit granted in accordance with the above policy statements will satisfy corresponding DWC graduation or distribution requirements. In addition, such course credit will normally satisfy a prerequisite requirement for advanced work in that discipline. Taking a DWC course for which advanced placement credit has been awarded will result in removal of the advanced placement credit for that course.
