Current Student Scholarships

Many of the Freshmen Student Scholarships are renewable every year based on specified GPA requirements if they are performance-based. Need-based scholarships may be renewable every year based on federal and institutional requirements and family financial status.

Performance Scholarships for Returning Students
This program is for students who did not qualify for a performance award upon acceptance to the college. Once enrolled, a student's GPA is reviewed each year. If the student has at least a 2.5 CGPA, he or she will be eligible for a performance scholarship. The scholarship is $3,500 for resident students and $2,500 for commuting students. It is renewable for three years if the student maintains a 2.5 CGPA and remains enrolled full-time.

Endowed Scholarships
More than a dozen endowed scholarships are available for current full-time day students at Daniel Webster College. These scholarship awards are based on academic performance, leadership qualities, financial need, and other scholarship specific attributes. The scholarship awards range from $100-$7,600. Further information is available in the Office of Academic Affairs, the Office of Development, and at the following links:

For each of the endowed scholarships listed the following should be submitted to the Office of Academic Affairs in Daniel Webster Hall.

  • The Award Nomination Fact Sheet that describes how and why the nominee meets the award criteria specified and should be recognized for it.

  • Additional letter of support may be submitted with the application or forwarded separately.

Nomination information may be submitted individually or as part of a package by more than one person. Multiple nomination forms for one person are accepted and will be considered as a group. Nominations for one student for more than one award must be submitted separately to assure full consideration.

The The Academic Awards committee will select up to three nominees for each award. The faculty will select recipients of the awards during the second week of March. Notification of these awards will be made in the spring. Recognition of these awards will take place at the fall Opening Convocation. Families of nominees will be invited to attend the awards ceremony.

Award Nomination Fact Sheets and further information regarding scholarships and awards are also available in the Office for Academic Affairs and the Office of Development. Deadline is by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 18, 2008.
