Federal Work Study Program
The Federal Work Study Program (FWS) is designed to create part-time employment opportunities for students. The program is intended to be beneficial to both the student and the employer.  All students that qualify for need-based financial assistance are considered. Work study jobs are not guaranteed.

Most employment opportunities under this program are on campus, working for the college.  Available jobs are listed on the DWCareers.com website.  The Federal Work Study Placement Form authorizes you to earn a specific dollar amount and once you are selected for a job, it is up to you and your supervisor to design a work schedule that fits within your allocation.

The positions under the program are wide ranging.  This year they included tutoring, student ambassadors, gym/weight room monitor, computer operations assistant, flight line crew, flight dispatcher, clerical and assistant positions in a variety of departments, custodial assistant and maintenance helper.

Employed students are paid on a bi-weekly basis for the hours worked the previous two weeks.  Students in the program typically work 8-10 hours per week.
