About Aviation Management at DWC

The DWC Aviation Management program develops business management skills with specialized knowledge of the unique aspects of aviation business and includes specialized courses and experiences that enhance your opportunities for a successful entry into the aviation field.

Students in the Aviation Management degree program pursue tracks designed for work in the general aviation industry, the airline industry or at airports. These tracks are: Airline Operations, General and Corporate Aviation Management, and Airport Management. Each track ends in a three-credit culminating experience that can be either an advanced seminar or course in Aviation Management or an internship. Typically, our graduates begin at entry level operations positions and use their educational qualifications and backgrounds to move into jobs with supervisory responsibilities or staff positions.

  • Combining classroom experience and hands-on practice, you’ll learn not just what to do but how to do it and why.

  • Because you have the option of earning flight ratings, you’ll be even more marketable in this dynamic field.

  • You’ll be prepared for virtually any management career in aviation or aviation-related activities while acquiring the management foundation supporting all such positions.

  • Culminating experiences through internships or experiential capstone programs like the Aviation Policy Seminar in Washington, DC will give you the real-life experience to make your transition into a professional career a successful one.
