Christopher J. Adams Scholarship
Awarded to an upper-class student, who demonstrates high
quality leadership and academic performance.
The Christopher J. Adams Scholarship was established in 1997 in memory of Air Force Captain Christopher Adams, Class of
1989, by his family and friends. Chris Adams was an Aviation Management major at DWC and cadet in ROTC. He was commissioned in May of 1989 and joined the Air Force that summer. At 30 years old, he was one of 19 Americans killed in a terrorist bombing attack upon military housing in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia on June 25, 1996. Captain Adams was an outstanding DWC student and is fondly remembered by the faculty and his classmates.
This award is given annually to an upper-class student (rising junior or senior) in any Daniel Webster College major who demonstrates high quality leadership and academic performance. The Adams family wishes to recognize and support the academic efforts of DWC students and encourage their active participation in campus life. While financial need is a consideration, the Awards Committee and the Adams family want to assist students who strive to achieve their academic goals and will become leaders in their professions. "The leadership that flourishes in college is the best indication of future success within the professional and local communities." The award is to be applied to tuition for the next year.
