Alumni Association Scholarship
The Daniel Webster College Alumni Association Scholarship was established
in 2007 as a result of more than five years of fundraising through the Alumni
Golf Tournament. Tom Neary ’88 started the event in 2002.
The scholarship is awarded annually to an upper-class student (with preference
to a student who will be a senior in the next academic year) in any Daniel
Webster College degree program.
While financial need is a consideration, the Alumni Association would
like to assist students who strive to achieve their academic goals and will
become leaders among their classmates and in their professions.
To apply for the Daniel Webster College Alumni Association Scholarship
the following should be submitted through the online application process:
- a letter of recommendation from a professor or supervisor. Use the
award nomination fact sheet
available online here.
- an essay responding to the question:
- "Funding for the Alumni Association scholarship comes from the
alumni and the community. If you were awarded the scholarship, what
would you do to return something to the Alumni Association and the
College community and why?"
- Please e-mail the essay to Eleni Eliades -
eliades@dwc.edu
The recipient must be able to attend award ceremony. This event is typically
held in conjunction with the annual Block Party in the spring. We also encourage
the recipient to attend the annual Alumni Golf Tournament. This year it
will be held Monday, September 15, 2008.
Application Deadline: April 1, 2008
