Antoniotti/Solomon/Watson Scholarship
Awarded
to a Business and Management Division Student, based
upon academic performance, extracurricular activity, and
service to the college.
The Antoniotti/Solomon/Watson Scholarship is given in honor of Walter G. Antoniotti, Jane A. Solomon, and Geraldine G. Watson, three outstanding professors in the Business Division of Daniel Webster College during the early and mid 1970s by members of the Class of
1973 in celebration of their 25th reunion. The initiative and leadership for developing and funding the scholarship was Thomas Cross, Class of
1973 and a recipient of a similar award in his senior year.
This award is given annually to a senior or rising senior student in the Division of Business and Management, in any of their majors, who demonstrates high academic performance, involvement in extra curricular activities, and strong service to the College. The award is to be applied to the students tuition during his/her senior year.
To nominate a student for the Antoniotti/Solomon/Watson Scholarship the following should be submitted to the Office of Academic Affairs:
- The Award Nomination Fact Sheet that describes how the nominee meets the award criteria specified and why he/she should be recognized for it.
- Additional letters of support may be submitted.
The submission deadline is Monday, February 18, 2008 by 5:00 pm.
Nomination information may be submitted individually or as part of a package by more than one person. Multiple nomination forms for one person are accepted and will be considered as a group. The Academic Awards Committee will select up to three nominees for this award. If a student is to be nominated for more than one award, an Award Nomination Fact Sheet must be submitted separately for each award. The recipient of the Antoniotti/Solomon/Watson Scholarship will be selected by the faculty of the Division of Business and Management during the second week of March. Families of nominees will be invited to attend the awards ceremony. Notification of this student scholarship will be made in the spring. Recognition of this award will take place at the
Fall Opening Convocation on September 18, 2008.
