Curtis J. Riendeau, Jr. Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to a Rising Junior who has contributed to the enrichment of life on campus and has good academic standing.

The Curtis J. Riendeau, Jr. Memorial Scholarship was established by his parents. Curtis J. Riendeau, Jr. was the son of Curtis J. Riendeau, who served as Dean of Admissions at Daniel Webster College in the early 1980s.

This award is given annually to a sophomore entering his/her junior year that has, through his/her active participation, contributed to the enrichment of student life on campus and is in good academic standing. The Riendeau family hopes to recognize and support the academic efforts of DWC students and encourage their active participation in campus life. While financial need is a consideration, the Awards Committee and the Riendeau family want to assist students who strive to achieve their academic goals and will become community leaders. The award is to be applied to tuition for the next year.

To nominate a student for the Riendeau Scholarship the following should be submitted to the Office of Academic Affairs:

  • The Award Nomination Fact Sheet that describes how the nominee meets the award criteria specified and why he/she should be recognized for it.
  • Additional letters of support may be submitted.

The submission deadline is Monday, February 18, 2008 by 5:00 pm.

Nomination information may be submitted individually or as part of a package by more than one person. Multiple nomination forms for one person are accepted and will be considered as a group. The Academic Awards Committee will select up to three nominees for this award. If a student is to be nominated for more than one award, an Award Nomination Fact Sheet must be submitted separately for each award. The recipient of the Riendeau Scholarship will be selected by the College faculty during the second week of March. Families of nominees will be invited to attend the awards ceremony. Notification of this student scholarship will be made in the spring. Recognition of this award will take place at the Fall Opening Convocation on September 18, 2008.

Further information regarding scholarships and awards is available in the Office for Academic Affairs and the Office of Development. Award Nomination Fact Sheets are also available in those two locations. Information may be found on the DWC Scholarship and Awards pages as well.
