Louise J. Levesque-Hills Scholarship
Awarded to a Rising Senior Who Has Exhibited the Most
Improvement and Promise in Creative Writing.
The Louise J. Levesque-Hills Scholarship was established in 1976 by Mr. and Mrs. Maurice J. Levesque in memory of their daughter, Class of
1971.
The scholarship is to be awarded annually (half per semester) to a junior entering his/her senior year from any Daniel Webster College major who has exhibited the most improvement and promise in creative writing.
To nominate a student for the Levesque-Hills Scholarship the following should be submitted to the Office of Academic Affairs:
- The Award Nomination Fact Sheet that describes how the nominee meets the award criteria specified and why he/she should be recognized for it.
- Additional letters of support may be submitted.
The submission deadline is Monday, February
18, 2008 by 5:00 pm.
Nomination information
may be submitted individually or as part of a package by more than one person.
Multiple nomination forms for one person are accepted and will be considered as
a group. The Academic Awards Committee will select up to three nominees for this
award. If a student is to be nominated for more than one award, an Award
Nomination Fact Sheet must be submitted separately for each award. The recipient
of the Levesque-Hills Scholarship will be selected by the faculty in the
division of Humanities and Social Science during the second week of March.
Families of nominees will be invited to attend the awards ceremony. Notification
of this student scholarship will be made in the spring. Recognition of this
award will take place at the Fall Opening Convocation on September 18,
2008.
