Hannah M. McCarthy Scholarship

In 1976, Hannah M. McCarthy came to Daniel Webster College as the Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid.  In 1980, she was appointed President of Daniel Webster College.  Under her leadership the college has grown from a two-year college to its recent launch of a graduate program.

The Hannah M. McCarthy Scholarship was established in 2000 with gifts from alumni, parents, trustees, and friends to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her inauguration as President - and more importantly, to recognize her tremendous leadership of and service to the DWC community.

The McCarthy Scholarship is awarded based on the students’ overall academic performance, service to community and financial need.
