Eagles Swept By SUNYIT
Tampa, Fla. – Not too much went right on the third day of five double
headers for the Eagles as they lost both games to SUNY-IT 16-2 and 14-4.
In game one, sophomore transfer right hander Rob Leary (Litchfield, N.H.)
made his first start of the season and was unable to find his groove on the
hill as he was removed after just 1 2/3 innings of work. Offensively, the
Eagles were lead by Charles Manning (Riverside, R.I.), Colby Torres
(Dighton, Mass.) and Jared Staples (Rochester, NH), all who had two hits a
piece.
Game two was not too much different from game one. Aaron Freedman (Randolph,
Ma) started and was unable to hold down the SUNY offense in his 3 2/3
innings of work. Zack Cantor (Windham, ME) was the only Eagle in the game to
have multiple hits, going 2 for 3 with an RBI.
The Eagles look to rebound on Thursday when they will play another double
header against Swarthmore with the action starting at 1.
