12 Home Dates Highlight Eagles

2008-09 Schedule
Nashua -- 12 home games highlight the
Daniel Webster women’s basketball 2008-09 schedule, announced today by
second year head coach Heather Jacobs.
The Eagles open their 25-game regular season slate
Saturday, November 15th with a non-conference meeting at Anna Maria College,
tipping off at 1:00 p.m.
The Eagles open their 12-game Vagge Gymnasium slate with a three-game home
stand starting Wednesday, November 19th with Johnson State at 5:00 p.m. and
follow with St. Joseph’s College (Conn.) November 24th and Regis College
December 4th at 7:00 p.m.
“Our entire program is excited to take on the challenges ahead in 2008-09,”
said Jacobs. “This season’s schedule provides an interesting blend of new
conference rivals as well as some strong traditional programs. We’re
confident our team will be up the challenge as we continue to build
ourselves into an annual contender for a conference championship.”
The remaining home schedule includes matchups with New England College, as
well as new NECC rivals Becker, Lesley, Elms, Newbury, Southern Vermont,
Mitchell, Wheelock, and Bay Path College.
The Eagles road slate includes meetings at Eastern Nazarene College,
Westfield State College, the University of Maine at Augusta, intra-city
rival Rivier College on January 8th Mitchell, Bay Path, Southern Vermont,
Becker, Elms, Wheelock, Newbury and Lesley.
The six-team inaugural NECC Championship Tournament begins February 24th
with quarterfinal action, followed by semifinal games February 27th and the
championship game February 28th.
