The Next Step Is Taken:
DWC Launches Eagles Athletic Association

Continuing the mission of enhancing its overall athletic presence, the Daniel Webster College Department of Athletics has announced the establishment of the Eagles Athletic Association, a support club for the athletic program. The launching of the association was announced by Phil Rowe, Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs for Athletics at DWC.

“This is an exciting time to be part of not only Daniel Webster College, but Daniel Webster College athletics,” said Rowe. “The creation and implementation of the Eagles Athletic Association is the next great step forward in the elevation of our athletic program.”

Rowe was also quick to point out the importance of a multi-divisional approach on campus that helped unify the College to create the program.

“I think it says something about the College’s commitment to its athletic programs and to this association in that this club was created through a joint effort of the Eagle Department of Athletics, our College Advancement team and our Enrollment Management Division. Only through a collaborative effort could we make this association a true benefit for all our student-athletes.”

According to Rowe, the Eagles Athletic Association’s mission is to encourage support from donors in order to enhance the entire athletic experience at the College. Through sponsorships and donations, the College plans to invest in facility upgrades, new equipment, staff development and overall athletic success.

The Eagles Athletic Association will function on two tiers. The first tier focuses on individual or corporate support for individual programs through Club Levels which will feature increasing levels of benefits. The second tier focuses on a more structured corporate sponsorship plan, known as the “Get in the Game” program, which includes advertising and marketing opportunities, working to build strong relationships with the local business community.

“I really feel that the direction in which the College is going, this is the perfect time to welcome people into the Eagle athletics family either for the first time, or to welcome them back,” said Rowe. “DWC athletics has a great reservoir of untapped potential. We have a goal, and that goal is to create not only one of the top NCAA Division III programs in the region, but to compete for a conference championship in every season and in every sport. Supporting the Eagles Athletics Association will help us meet that goal.”

A complete explanation of the Eagles Athletic Association, including club levels, benefits and corporate partnerships, is available through the DWC athletics website at www.dwc.edu/athletics/EAA/EAA.shtml.
