Hanson, Moseley Named To GNAC Weekly Honor Roll
Two Daniel Webster Basketball student-athletes have been named to the Great
Northeast Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll.
Freshman Shaun Hanson of Durham, N.H. was named to the baseball Honor Roll
after hitting .462 (6-13), scoring twice and knocking in seven runs over
four games as the Eagles posted a 1-3 mark.
Hanson went 4-for-4 with a double, scored once and notched four runs batted
in a 12-5 victory over Emerson on April 11th, and went a combined 2-for-7
with a run scored, a stolen base and three RBI in a doubleheader at Albertus
Magnus on April 14th.
Junior pitcher Erin Moseley of Sterling, Mass. was named to the softball
Honor Roll after posting a 1-1 mark on the mound with a 2.15 ERA over 13
innings pitched.
Moseley allowed just two earned runs on seven hits, striking out two and
walking two in an 8-0 loss to Rivier on April 11th. She followed with a
masterful, four hit, complete game upset victory (3-1) over Norwich on April
14th.
Against the Cadets, Moseley racked up eight strikeouts, walked just one, and
faced three batters over the minimum. She also helped her cause going
2-for-3 from the plate with a double and an RBI.
The baseball team stands 4-17 overall and 1-7 in GNAC play, while the
softball team stands 2-10, 1-9 in GNAC play.
