Normand Appointed Assistant Volleyball Coach

The Daniel Webster College Women’s Volleyball program has added Erin L. Normand to its ranks as Assistant Coach. The appointment was announced by new Head Coach Tammy Lambrou

“I am extremely pleased to have Coach Normand join our coaching staff,” said Lambrou. “Her college experience at St. Joseph's and her club experience with the HardRock Junior Olympic Program will allow us to cover all aspects of the game. Erin will be a great asset to our program and I look forward to working with her."

A native of Manchester, N.H. and a 1999 graduate of Saint Joseph’s (Maine), Normand was a four year letter winner with the Monks program and was a Maine Athletic Conference All Star her senior season. Normand is a former (Manchester) West High School standout as well, where she and Lambrou were teammates. Normand is also a former three year member of the HardRock Junior Olympic program.

Lambrou and Normand inherit a program that posted a best ever 9-9 overall record and 3-8 mark in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play last season, missing the GNAC post-season tournament by just one game. The coaching staff can look to the anticipated return of 10 letter winners including senior middle hitter Erin Mosely (Sterling, Mass.), who was a First Team All Conference selection in 2005, the first Eagle to ever earn that award, and who finished as the NCAA Division III leader in service aces per game.

A member of the NCAA Division III Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC), DWC sponsors 10 varsity programs including men’s soccer, women’s soccer, men’s cross country, women’s cross country, women’s volleyball, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, baseball, softball, and men’s lacrosse. The college also sponsors club men’s ice hockey as a member of the Northeast Collegiate Hockey Association (NECHA).
