Eagles Drop Decision At Albertus
New
Haven, Conn. – Albertus Magnus never trailed in building a 55-38 lead at the
half over visiting Daniel Webster on the way to a 112-88 victory in GNAC
action Saturday.
Daniel Webster was led by freshman guard A.J. Hemingway's (Staten Island,
NY) team high 19 points. The Falcons were led by junior forward Bobby Leonzo
(East Haven, CT) and his game high 20 rebounds and 15 points. Albertus
Magnus improves to 1-10, 1-4 GNAC while Daniel Webster drops to 3-6, 1-4
GNAC.
Ray McKie added 15 points for the Eagles, while Tim Jackson and Brian Inge
added 14 each. Chris Hanson chipped in with 13 points including four three
pointers.
Cold first half shooting hurt the Eagles as they hit for just 30% while the
Falcons knocked down 51% from the field and went on to hit 48% in the
second.
The Eagles return to action Tuesday when the host Rivier at 7:00 p.m.
