Eagles To Honor David H. Lewis '96 Prior to Saturday Matchup

Nashua - The Daniel Webster men's basketball program, along with the entire DWC community will honor alumnus David H. Lewis '94 as part of pre-game ceremonies Saturday, December 1st as the Eagles open their 2007-08 conference slate hosting longtime rival Johnson & Wales. Tip off is at 1:05 p.m.

Mr. Lewis was a four year member of the Eagles' program from 1990-91 through 1993-94, and finished with more than 400 points and 300 rebounds. An aviation management major, he was also a member of the cross country team, served as a resident assistant, and played in the College's jazz band. Mr. Lewis passed away this past June after a valiant battle with Follicular Lymphoma. He was 36.

Prior to tip off, DWC President Robert "Skip" Myers will be joined by a number of former Eagle players, former Head Coach Richard Whitmore, and College officials, as well as the Lewis family to honor David.

The entire College community is welcome to join this special event as DWC pauses to remember and celebrate one its all time great Eagles.
