For the second time this season, freshman guard Jamie Bryant of Hartford, Conn. has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week.

In the Eagles 1-1 week, Bryant averaged 21.5 points, five rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.5 steals per outing. He notched 14 points, four rebounds, four steals and two assists in a loss to Norwich on January 18th, and followed with his best seasonal and collegiate performance to date. In a wild 89-88 overtime victory over Suffolk this past January 20th, Bryant hit for a season best 29 points knocking down 14 of 22 from the field, and scored six of the team's eight overtime points helping the squad end a six-game losing streak. Bryant added six rebounds and five assists in the victory.

Bryant’s 17.2 point per game average places him second on the Eagle squad and sixth among GNAC leaders this week, while his 2.7 steals per outing leads the Eagles and places him second on the GNAC leader board.

Bryant also earned the GNAC honor on December 5th.

Under the guidance of first year Head Coach Eddie Quick, the Eagles stand 4-7 overall and 2-5 in GNAC play. DWC returns to action Tuesday night, January 23rd when they travel across town to face rival Rivier College in a 7:30 p.m. GNAC matchup.
