Emerson Shuts Down Eagles, 8-3

Boston, Mass. – Bo Dietrick notched a hat trick and Roger Tower added two goals to lead the Emerson men’s lacrosse team past visiting Daniel Webster, 8-3 in a NAC matchup Sunday at Emerson.

The win was the second of the season for the Lions (2-9, 1-3 NAC), and sent the Eagles below .500 on the early season as they dropped to 1-2 overall (0-2 NAC).

Brian Abrahamson led the Eagles with a goal and assist, while Cullen Larkin and Colby Field added single scores for DWC. Chris Leyland made 16 saves in goal.

Abrahamson put the Eagles up 1:21 into the game on an unassisted tally before Emerson answered with scores from Dietrick and Josh Anderson two and a half minutes apart.

Field struck with an unassisted tally with 3:56 to go in the first and the game was tied 2-2 after one period.

After a Zach D’Agostino score accounted for the only goal of the second quarter and a 3-2 Lion lead at the half, Emerson took control with three third quarter goals including two from Dietrick.
