Eagles Down Becker With Rare Shutout, 19-0
- Set New In-Game Offensive Record -

(Nashua) – Adam McKellar (Biddeford, Maine) notched nine saves collecting his first shutout, while Brian Abrahamson (Dedham, Mass.) and Ryan Manning (Newport, N.H.) notched five goals and three assists each, pacing host Daniel Webster past Becker, 19-0 in North Atlantic Conference action Saturday.

The win gave the Eagles (6-4) a 5-2 final NAC regular season record, the best conference record for the program since joining the league three years ago. The Eagles will finish no lower than third place in the NAC standings, also a program best.

The 19 goals set a new program high-water mark and the shutout win was just the second in program history. Both marks were last touched May 4, 2002 in a 22-0 conquest of Castleton.

Brandon Bell (Loudon, N.H.) added four goals and three assists, while Andrew Smith notched four scores and set up another. Colby Field (Hollis, N.H.) chipped in a with a goal and two assists, while Jake Szcygiel (Buffalo, N.Y.) set up two others.

John Blomgren (West Haven. Conn.) finished with 11 saves for the Hawks (0-8, 0-6 NAC).

DWC notched three goals in the first and second quarters and blew the game open with eight in the third. The Eagles finished with a 32-8 shots on goal advantage and added a 53-29 advantage on groundballs.

Bell opened the scoring 2:10 in the game and Abrahamson followed with scores at the 6:32 and 5:28 marks. Bell, Smith and Manning added quick strikes 57 seconds apart midway through the second for a 6-0 lead at the break.

The Eagles close out the regular season Sunday afternoon as they host Green Mountain beginning at 1:00 p.m. Becker closes out its season Monday at Mitchell at 4:00 p.m.
