Chris Leyland Named NECC Co-Player of the Week

Nashua -- The New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) yesterday announced that Daniel Webster College men’s soccer player Chris Leyland of New Hope, Penn. has been named Conference Co-Player of the Week.

Leyland, a sophomore forward, led his team to 2-0 conference victory scoring both goals over Southern Vermont College September 20th. Leyland’s two scores pushed him into the team lead in scoring with his second and third tallies of the season.

The victory over Southern Vermont was the Eagles first victory of the season.

The Eagles return to action Wednesday afternoon when they travel to Suffolk University for a 4:00 p.m. matchup.
