Bernard Named NECC Rookie of the Week

Nashua -- The New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) announced Tuesday that Daniel Webster College men’s soccer player Spencer Bernard of Windsor Locks, Conn. has been named Conference Rookie of the Week.

Bernard, a freshman forward, helped guide the Eagles to a 2-1 record last week, registering three goals. Bernard notched the Eagles’ lone score in a 3-1 regional loss to Mount Ida College September 29th and followed with three goals in the first 29 minutes of play in a 5-1 home victory over Fisher College Thursday, October 2nd.

Under the leadership of head coach Bill Lawler, the Eagles stand 5-5 overall. The Eagles return to action on Thursday, October 9th when they host Mitchell College in a NECC game beginning at 3:30 p.m.
