Winter Named To GNAC Softball Weekly
Honor Roll
Nashua, NH – Daniel Webster softball newcomer Tiana Winter of New Ispwich,
N.H. was named to this week’s Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC)
softball weekly honor roll for her efforts last week.
Winter hit .387 (12-31) with two doubles, a triple, three runs batted in and
eight runs scored and slugged .516 over a 10-game stretch. She was 3 for 5
with two RBI in a win over Johnson & Wales, the program's first over the
Wildcats since 1998 and a followed with a combined 5 for 7, scoring five
runs in a win and tie against Emmanuel, marking the Eagles’ first ever
victory over the Saints.
Winter currently leads the team with a .329 average (27-82), seven doubles,
is 8 of 9 omn stolen base attempts and has added a triple and 11 RBI.
Under the guidance of Head Coach Chris Vullo, the Eagles stand 7-20-1
overall entering Friday’s GNAC doubleheader with Suffolk. The seven
victories are the most for the program since 1998.
