Nashua – Freshman Lauren Coppola (Norwich, Conn.) tossed a five-hit shutout striking out five and walking one and fellow newcomer Tiana Winter (New Ispwich, N.H.) went 3-for-4 with two doubles and scored three times leading host Daniel Webster to its first ever program victory over Emmanuel, 8-0 in the opener of a GNAC softball doubleheader at Eagle Field Monday.

In the opener, Coppola extended her scoreless streak to 11 innings over two complete game victories as she improved to 3-3 overall.

Erin Moseley (Sterling, Mass.) helped the Eagle cause going 2 for 3 knocking in two, while Stephanie Zubricki (Brookline, N.H.) added a 2-for-3 game with a double and two RBI.
