Eagles Drop Two To St. Joseph's, Maine
Nashua, NH – The Eagles softball squad dropped a doubleheader to host St.
Joseph’s (Maine) in GNAC action Tuesday, falling 13-5 in the opener, and 2-0
in the nightcap.
Tiana Winter (two stolen bases), Erin Moseley and Sarah Mason notched two
hits each in the opener, with Moseley, Amanda Varricchio, Stephanie Zubricki
and Mikaelia Ramnanan knocking in solo runs.
The Eagles fell behind 9-0 after three, rallied with five in the top of the
fourth, and stayed close until allowing four in the sixth for the final.
Lauren Coppola took the loss on the mound.
In the nightcap, the Eagles (6-19-1) matched the Monks with six hits, while
Moseley took the touch-luck loss, allowing single runs in the second and
third (one earned), striking out five and walking two.
Erin Hurd and Kristina Reiger notched two hits each for the Eagles, who
travel to Mount Ida Thursday for a GNAC doubleheader.
