Rivier Sweeps Past Eagles
Nashua – Rivier swept a twinbill of crosstown softball rivals in GNAC action
Wednesday at DWC, winning 12-0 in game one, and adding an 8-0 victory in
game two.
In
the opener, Monica White improved to 6-2 overall with a complete game
one-hitter striking out 12, and added a 2-for-4 outing at the plate, scoring
twice.
In the nightcap, Alexa Feener scattered five hits over five innings for the
victory striking out six, while Sara Wilson had two hits, and White added a
two run double.
Rivier took sole possession of first place in the GNAC, moving to 10-2, 15-5
overall, while DWC dropped to 1-9, 0-8 GNAC.
Erin Moseley (Sterling, Mass.) belted a triple for the lone Eagle hit in
game one. Jess Carter, Erin Hurd, Breanne DeMarco and Kim Harper all had
single hits in game two.
The Eagles travel to Albertus Magnus Friday for a GNAC doubleheader
beginning at 5:30 p.m., host Norwich Saturday at 1:00 p.m., and visit
Western New England Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
